Wedding (Part3b of 4) - The Reception

The reception was a blast. Everyone I have talked to since the wedding has talked about how much fun they had and I'm so glad. The decorations turned out better than I thought. The food was great. It was just perfect to me. As I mentioned before, something was wrong with the A/C in the reception hall but for those of us who were dancing and having fun, no one seemed to mind too much and if we did, we just went outside on the veranda. I think the reception was from 6:30pm-11pm and it literally felt like it lasted an hour. I can't believe how fast it went. Everyone tells you that it is going to go by so quickly and then it does and you still aren't expecting it to be THAT fast. Anyway, on to the pictures to tell the rest of the story...

The table numbers were all pictures of Steve and me at that age. I thought they turned out cute and we made them ourselves.
The escort cards on the plat (is that what it's called) of grass. So cute!
Our sweetheart table. So glad we did it this way instead of a head table. We had way too many people.

Wedding (Part 3a of 4) - THE WEDDING

Steve and my wedding turned out perfectly. I was worried about weather even though I promised myself that I wouldn't...but I couldn't help it. We had gotten through the outdoor rehearsal dinner but we still had an even more important day to get through and they were calling for scattered thunderstorms again. Tiffany, Chris, Lauren, Rachel and I and some other people had gone after the rehearsal dinner to Ruby Tuesday's for an "after party" to hang out with some out of towners to give them something to do in an area where there wasn't much and then a few of us went back to my hotel room and had a dnace party with our ipods. Steve and his boys went back to our townhouse and they had their own "after party" there. So, Saturday morning, I woke up tired but had to get up because my hair lady was getting there at 9am followed by myy makeup lady. We had champagne in the room for mimosas and everyone ended up at some point hanging out in our room. It was really fun to have people going in and out and seeing them all get ready to celebrate me and Steve. The day turned out perfectly. The only two things that I would have liked to change were the temperature of the reception and the fact that the reception venue allowed a tv to be on where a lot of people thought it was apparently polite to watch the Caps hockey game. Wrong. Other than that, I wouldn't have changed a thing and I think that everyone had a great time, most importantly Steve and I. I'll let the pictures fill in the rest....
